For over a decade Persephone Theatre has provided training at the highest calibre for a dedicated group of young people who are serious about pursuing a career in the theatre.
The Persephone Theatre Young Company is both a class and a theatre company for young performers between the ages of 14 and 19 years who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts. The Young Company students have the opportunity to thrive in a classroom setting while also getting to study with professional theatre artists. For the 2024 /25 Season, we will be moving to a different model in which all students must be enrolled in Term 1 in order to take Term 2.

For our 2024-25 Season Term 1 focus will be on skill building as well as script work for our production in March. Term 1 will culminate in an evening presentation of monologues and scenes on December 12 for family. Term 2 the focus will be on a traditional theatre rehearsal and culminate in a full-scale theatre production in Persephone Theatre’s Backstage from March 20-23. Students must be in Term 1 to partake in Term 2.
To Audition
Student must submit an application to be chosen for an audition by May 19, 2024.
Auditions will take place May 27-29, 2024
Successful auditioners will be notified June 20, 2024
