Theatre, particularly theatre for youth, fires the imagination; it helps our youth develop the skills and the creativity necessary to face the world, to understand it and perhaps to change it too.
They might learn more about history, how to handle conflict, or find their passion for the arts. That is why the Persephone Theatre Youth Tour exists, to bring the theatre to you!
Youth Tour 2024
November 19 – December 8
Grades K-6
Rooted in Anishnaabe and Métis storytelling, a young girl’s “imaginary friend,” a shapeshifter named Thomas, helps her reconnect with her art, language, and culture. Having recently lost her grandfather (Shoom), Bellevue feels out of touch with the stories and words her Shoom used to share. Luckily, with some help from ancestor Nokomis, Bellevue learns Shoom’s knowledge lives on in her, and there is more to her friend Thomas than meets the eye.
The classic school tour performance where we come and perform right at your school!
60-minute performance, followed by a 10-minute facilitated Q&A.
Available to schools throughout Saskatchewan.
300 maximum student capacity per show.

Youth Tour shows examine issues that are relevant to young people and provide unique opportunities for thought and discussion. We use the power of theatre to stimulate community, to encourage growth and to edify our young people in a powerful and uniting experience. Through our shows we foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts and their ability to inspire, educate and entertain!
