As we welcome live audiences into the theatre, we also recognize the importance of keeping our patrons, artists, volunteers, staff and community members healthy and safe to ensure the live-performance spaces remain open. We ask all guests on site to be mindful of the following protocols we have in place to keep everyone safe.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

As of October 1, 2021, audience members 12 years and older attending events at Persephone Theatre will be required to show proof of full vaccination. This could be in the form of the hand stamped card given at the time of vaccination or a digital vaccination certificate, issued by any official provincial, territorial or federal health body (for example, eHealth Saskatchewan’s MySaskHealthRecord). You must also show a valid government issued ID, with the name matching the vaccination proof.

Those 12 to 17 years of age, if accompanied by a person 18 years or older who has provided personal identification, are not required to show ID.

We understand some people may have a medical exemption from receiving the vaccine. If this is the case, please bring proof of your exemption. In addition to your medical exemption, we ask you also provide proof of a negative COVID test within the last 72 hours.

Persephone Theatre will not share, record or keep a file on proof of vaccination for patrons. This means each time you come into the building, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or medical exemption.

Children younger than 12 are currently exempt from proof of vaccination and negative COVID test requirement. They must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult, who will be required to show proof of vaccination at the door.

Mandatory Masks

Masks are mandatory throughout the entire building and throughout the whole duration of a performance.

Please bring your own mask with you. If you forget your mask, please talk to the box office or front of house staff. They will have a limited stock of disposable masks available.

Cleaning Protocols

Persephone Theatre will have enhanced cleaning protocols in place for the 2021-22 season. High touch surfaces (doorknobs, railings, elevators, washrooms) continue to be sanitized frequently. Our custodians will continue to support the greater cleaning needs of the building.

Ticket Refunds and Exchanges

If you feel ill, have tested positive for COVID-19, or have come in close contact with someone who has tested positive, we ask that you please stay home to keep others safe. Please contact the box office to change your tickets to a later performance, donate the value of your tickets or receive a refund.

Theatre Capacity and Distancing

Persephone Theatre will be reducing capacity for our live performances, to help ensure social distancing can occur. As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, the capacity may increase for shows later in the season.

Please respect other’s physical distance in the lobby and follow any signage or direction from staff/volunteers. To allow for distancing, seats will be blocked off in the theatre to allow patrons to move somewhere else if they are not comfortable in their reserved seats. These seats are available first come, first serve. All shows are being booked at reduced capacity to allow for this. The seats will be marked with “This Seat Is Available” stickers. Seats without these stickers are already reserved for patrons.

Please talk to the Persephone Theatre staff or volunteers with questions about available seats.

Arrival At The Theatre

We recommend to patrons to arrive at the theatre when the doors open at 6:30 p.m. This will help make the vaccination status check run more smoothly and we will make every effort to get our patrons into the lobby as efficiently as possible.

Food and Drink Service

Persephone Theatre recognizes the importance of keeping our patrons, artists, volunteers, staff and community members healthy and safe.

With this in mind, effective as of December 21, 2021, the concession and bar will be closed and consuming food or drink in the theatre is prohibited.

Persephone Theatre will continue to follow the guidance of health and safety officials, and will reevaluate these policies as needed in the coming months. Audience members are encouraged to visit our website before attending for the most up-to-date protocols.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community healthy and support the safe continuation of live performances.
