Actors & Musicians
Persephone prioritizes Saskatchewan actors in its productions, but we also welcome performers from elsewhere in Canada. General auditions are held annually in Saskatoon, and bi-annually in other parts of Canada. Generals and show-specific auditions are posted on this site, and are promoted through CAEA’s E-Drive and our local email list.

Playwrights
Persephone Theatre has a proud history of supporting Canadian playwrights by developing and premiering new work. We accept submissions from emerging and established writers.
Unsolicited submissions are reviewed by our Artistic Director and are kept on file. We are unable to provide dramaturgical feedback unless a script is being considered for production. We will acknowledge receipt of your submission, and will get in touch after that if we need more information.

Designers
Persephone Theatre is housed in the Remai Arts Centre, a fully-equipped purpose-built theatre. Our 421-seat MainStage is a proscenium venue with a fly gallery. Our ~150-seat BackStage Stage is a flexible black-box space. Persephone is an IATSE house and engages professional designers under the terms of the ADC.

Co-Productions and Presentations
Persephone Theatre engages in co-productions and presentations on a regular basis. These are part of the mix of both our adult and youth programming, and may be on our Mainstage (410 seat proscenium) or BackStage Stage (~120 seat black box).
