Queermunity Theatre Race - Persephone Theatre

In celebration of Pride, Persephone Theatre is proud to bring Saskatoon the 48-hour Queermunity Theatre Race!

The lights will go up on Persephone’s Backstage Stage in front of a live audience to unveil these five new plays, which celebrate our Queermunity and kick off Pride month in Saskatoon!

Join us for this creative performance opportunity for everyone in the Saskatoon Queer community (2SLGBTQIA+ and their allies) who longs to be on stage!

Teams will receive unique inspiration package on June 1 and the countdown begins! The participants will have only 48-hours to create and rehearse their play.

Four teams have been selected by committee with representatives from Persephone Theatre and Saskatoon Pride.

The teams are: The Chokecherries, Spaced Oddities, Full House, and L-BOMB!

Performances in the BackStage Stage at Persephone Theatre.

June 3 at 8pm
June 4 at 2pm – Panel Discussion with Saskatoon Sexual Health before showtime at 1pm.
Panel topics will include Queer representation and Queer joy.

Tickets are Pay What you Choose at the door.
All ticket sales will be donated to Saskatoon Pride Home.
