Kim Coates has been working nonstop since wrapping his role as the lovable bad boy ‘Tig’ on FX’s hit series SONS OF ANARCHY. Coates recently appeared in the Netflix limited series AMERICAN PRIMEVAL as the iconic “Brigham Young” opposite Taylor Kitsch; and received critical acclaim for his role as “Bruegel” in the AMC series DEAD CITY, a spinoff of the successful WALKING DEAD Universe.

Seen in Kevin Costner’s film saga HORIZON, Coates previously starred in the HBO limited series THE WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS with Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux, and appeared in a starring role in DOUBLE DOWN SOUTH written and directed by Tom Schulman. He reprised his role as series lead, Declan Gardner, in Season Two of the Netflix hit mob series BAD BLOOD. Prior to that, Coates was in the Emmy winning Netflix miniseries GODLESS opposite Jeff Daniels and in THE TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN opposite Kevin James also on Netflix. He also starred in the feature, STRANGE WEATHER, playing the love interest to Holly Hunter, as well as the sequel to the feature comedy film, GOON, opposite Liev Schreiber and Seann William Scott, directed by Jay Baruchel. Kim played the title character in the feature adaptation of OFFICER DOWNE, based on the graphic novel of the same name. Coates had a flashy role in the film THE LAND, directed by Steven Caple Jr and produced by Hip Hop icon Nas. After 30 years away from the stage, Kim made his triumphant return, winning the Dora award for BEST ACTOR for his superb performance as ‘Rooster’ in the Toronto production of the critically acclaimed Jez Butterworth play, JERUSALEM.

Up next, Coates will be seen in SOLO MIO, with Kevin James.
