Persephone Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Red Rose Gala promises to be a remarkable event, and we would be honored to celebrate with you.
Indulge in a delightful meal prepared by the chefs at The Glen at Crossmount, while enjoying the musical talents of local artists, and stories and special guests highlighting some of Persephone’s journey during the past five decades. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as you partake in our silent auction, and perhaps even win an exciting prize from our Mystery Box! As a special treat, we invite you to explore the picturesque grounds of Crossmount during our Garden Cocktail Hour from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., where you can enjoy lawn games and sip on refreshing cocktails.
Tickets are priced at $260 each (you will receive a tax receipt for $100) and include dinner, dessert, and entertainment. You may reserve a table of 10 for $2,500 (you will receive a tax receipt for $1,000).

What to expect:
- Master of Ceremonies: Deb Buck will be leading you through the memorable evening. If Deb’s name is familiar to you, it is because she has been a part of Persephone Theatre’s family for many years. Deb worked as the Box Office Manager when the theatre was located on Rushholme Road, and then loved the theatre so much, that she has since performed in and been the music director for many shows, at Persephone and beyond! Deb’s history with Persephone and her experience as a music director means that guests can expect some behind the scenes stories as the evening’s entertaining look at Persephone’s musical history unfolds.
- Special Guest: We are delighted to announce a very special guest at Persephone Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Red Rose Gala! Brian Richmond, the founding Artistic Director of Persephone, will be joining us as an honoured guest to share his memories of those early years with Gala guests. We are thrilled Brian is able to join us to take part in this milestone event of the theatre he helped found alongside Susan and Janet Wright.
- Performances: Enjoy the talents of Amanda Trapp and Tim Bratton. Both Amanda and Tim have graced the Persephone stage in many roles, and even worked together last season in Miss Bennet: Christmas At Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon. In addition, Tim was the sound designer for This Is How We Got Here by Keith Barker and Amanda was Aquata/part of the ensemble in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Tim and Amanda’s immense talent as singers and musicians will be on full display during the Gala, as they perform some fantastic music from Persephone’s past musical productions, and pieces from musicals we haven’t yet done!
- Silent Auction: We’ve got a treasure trove of silent auction prizes that will leave you buzzing with excitement.
