Relaxed Performance

Join us on December 18 at 2 p.m. for a Relaxed Performance of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.

A Relaxed Performance is specially adapted to be accessible to a wide range of audiences, including patrons who many have sensory needs or are on the autism spectrum. People with diverse needs can sometimes find standard theatre performances overwhelming, with triggers of darkness, loud music, sudden noises and an unfamiliar environment where everyone is expected to sit still and quiet.

A relaxed performance gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy theatre with the house lights on, sounds being softer than usual, warnings before loud noises and the opportunity to leave the theatre during the performance to go to the washroom or to a chill out zone. It is the same show, at the same calibre you expect from Persephone Theatre, but with a few modifications to make the experience more accessible.

These relaxed performances may also benefit patrons with dementia, anxiety, Tourette’s syndrome, bowel and bladder conditions, or parents with new babies.
