Community Feedback on New Human Resource Policies

Since the spring, the board has been revising our HR protocols and policies, as well as creating new ones, so that we can be a more safe, supportive employer in our community.
The revised drafts of our policies represent Persephone’s perspectives, expertise, and recommendations at this point in time. They have been created by the board, in consideration of the community and staff feedback received to date.
HR policies are a vital step in culture change as they work to clarify and set expectations of behaviours for all persons associated with Persephone Theatre.
What we are now asking for is your input.
We are open to all feedback, and will work to integrate it into our actions and policies. Once we have done this the policies will be formally adopted by the board and we will begin the work necessary to ensure they are widely shared and understood, and that people have the necessary skills and ability to operate under this revised framework.
This is a first step; we will continue to be open to ongoing feedback for improvement. If there are significant issues, we will amend them quickly. Any changes that are minor or editing will be included in the policies’ annual review.

Comments received by October 27, 2020 will be considered and incorporated into the policies that will be sent for Board approval in November.
