Michael will be reading an excerpt from “Dear Algorithm: The Wed Luck Show,” with a book signing opportunity to follow. This event is free and all are welcome!

Dear Algorithm: The Wed Luck Show
Two sisters living in two different cities, one in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and the other in Saskatoon, Canada have big announcements to make to their parents about marriage and finding love. While the older sister, Mondi appeared unsure of where she stood between convention and what she desired, her younger sister Yola was all set for an extreme adventure that threatened to tear their family apart.

Michael Afenfia was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria but now resides in Saskatoon, Canada. Two of his novels, Don’t Die on Wednesday and Rain Can Never Know made the shortlist for the Association of Nigerian Authors Prize for literature in 2015 and 2022 respectively. A born storyteller, Michael expresses himself through his novels, short stories, and performances. His novel, Leave My Bones in Saskatoon, was nominated for the 2023 Glengarry Award in Saskatchewan and the Chinua Achebe Prize for Literature in Nigeria.
