About Persephone Theatre
Persephone Theatre creates in misâskwatôminihk (Saskatoon) in Treaty 6 territory, which includes the Nêhiyawak (Cree) as original signatories and became the traditional homeland of the Métis Nation. We also acknowledge the contributions of the Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, Saulteaux and Round Prairie Métis peoples in establishing our city of Saskatoon and we extend our appreciation for the opportunity to live, create and perform on this land. Persephone Theatre is committed to a reflecting the rich diversity of our community in the stories we tell and the ways in which we undertake creating our work. We prioritize a workplace culture that centres equity, inclusion, and authentic representation. We strongly encourage submissions from artists who self-identify as members of historically excluded communities, which includes (but is not limited to) those who identify as IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, d/Deaf, or who have a disability or chronic illness. We also strongly encourage artists to submit for the roles they feel align with their gender identity and/or gender expression.
Policy All artists, staff, and audiences on our premises are required to be double vaccinated. Artists will be required to provide proof of vaccination to Persephone prior to commencing work. Other Covid-19 protocols, such as masking, are also in place and evolve to reflect best recommended practices at the time of production. These protocols will be communicated clearly to artists at the time of offer, and be included in the rider to their contract.
We are seeking to fill the following roles. Age and gender descriptions are reflections of the character. Actors of all ethnicities will be considered for each role, with the exception of Marianne for which we only seek those who self-identify as belonging to the Black diaspora. All actors should feel comfortable with a small amount of singing on stage.

by righteousness. Never been kissed.
|MARIE ANTOINETTE||Lead||Female Identified|

Domingue in the Caribbean. A free woman, classy, vigilant, the sanest one of them all.
