The iconic songbook of Johnny Cash shines in this moving theatrical journey through a life rich in love, faith, struggle, and redemption – and the healing power of home and family. A multi-talented cast paints a captivating musical portrait of The Man in Black in a foot-stompin’, crowd-pleasin’ salute to the musical legend and the passion, grit, and heart that defined his journey.
CASTING BREAKDOWN:
All roles are available, and actors are welcome to submit for the role with which they feel alignment. Descriptions enclosed, including age range and gender and/or gender expression, provide parameters for artists to self-select their appropriateness for each track. Actors of all race and ethnicity are encouraged to apply. Proficiency on multiple instruments and/or strong movement skills are both assets. The instruments listed in tracks provided are a guideline – if you play other or additional instruments, please indicate that in your audition submission.

If there is a potential barrier that might prevent you from being able to audition, we encourage you to let us know so we can work with you to dissolve it. Due to the volume of submissions, only those selected for an audition will be contacted. Reading copies of the script are available upon request.
