Generals 2026

Persephone Theatre is holding general auditions to get to know Saskatchewan artists. These will take place at the Remai Arts Centre in Downtown Saskatoon.

General Auditions this year will be held in person in Saskatoon in collaboration with Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan. Persephone’s Artistic Director, Heather Cant, and newly appointed Artistic Director of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, Skye Brandon, will be in attendance.

Those invited to audition will be asked to prepare two contrasting monologues – one contemporary and one Shakespeare – each no longer than two minutes.

These auditions are being held in an accessible building. If there is a potential barrier that might prevent you from being able to audition, we encourage you to let us know so we can work with you to dissolve it.

We recognize that the allotted time may not be enough to meet with every artist that may wish to be seen. We thank all who apply but only those selected for an audition will be contacted.
