2025 Arts Day on the Hill is here!

Today, December 2, 2025, our Executive Director Breanne Harmon is in Ottawa as part of the Canadian Arts Coalition delegation for the 20th Arts Day on the Hill, representing both the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) and Persephone Theatre.

Arts Day on the Hill gives arts representatives from across Canada the opportunity to advocate to federal government officials and MPs for long-term, sustainable federal investment in Canada’s arts, culture and heritage sector.

We are grateful to the federal government for the investment in arts and culture in Budget 2025, and are encouraging a further investment in the sector by permanently allocating 1% of federal spending towards the Canada Council for the Arts and Canadian Heritage.

We love to hear how the arts have positively impacted or shaped your life. Get involved by sharing your stories about the importance of arts – check out the Canadian Arts Coalition on social media and reach out to your MP!
