Live theatre is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover, learn and grow for less than the cost of a movie. Explore social issues, interact with actors, study the classics – take a trip to Persephone.
In order to make live theatre accessible to all, Persephone Theatre offers this student program at highly subsidized rates.
All school matinees start at 12:30 pm sharp (unless otherwise stated). On the day of the performance, please try to arrive 30 minutes prior to curtain time. If you arrive late for your performance, you will be seated at the back of the theatre at management’s discretion.
Each Student Matinee production offers something unique. Plays explore a range of topics and issues that can be tied to education in a number of ways, from direct correlation to particular school subjects to character qualities that inform everyday life. Some of these connections include:
Curriculum: English Language Arts, Storytelling, Social Studies, Arts Education
Character Education: Perseverance, Honesty, Respect, Empathy
