For kids who can’t sit still, for the ones who like to climb the walls and those who can imagine further than they can see. Inspired by the game Tetris, this extremely physical dance quartet explores how we connect with one another, building a private language to communicate, and then invite others to enter into our world. Dancing on walls and in the halls, Tetris has been touring Europe to enthusiastic response. In January 2016, Tetris won the People’s Choice Victor Award at IPAY 2016 in Montreal.

Tetris was originally made in collaboration with ‘De Dansers’ in Utrecht. It has also been reset on Dansstationen in Malmo, who tour it in Scandinavia. Arch8 tours the work globally.

Brecht wrote Arturo Ui in 1941 while waiting for a visa to enter the USA. It parodies the series of events by which Hitler was allowed to come to power. It sounds the alarm against the complacency of believing that the events of that era could never be repeated at another time in another place.

In these strange days when we can hardly believe what we see happening south of our border, our very existence as artists makes a demand of us to frame a response. This will be Persephone’s. Tickets: $15 (3 Readings Only)

** Pre-Show Discussion and Post-Show Talkbacks will be scheduled during the run of this provocative staged reading.

BONUS SHOW: During its time, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show was the most spectacular live event in the world. Saskatchewan’s Gabriel Dumont was one of his top acts, billed as “The Hero of the Half-Breed Rebellion.” Dumont experienced the power of the show and dreamed of creating his own version of the Wild West Show that would tell the story of the Métis in an equally spectacular way. 130 years later, that dream is now a reality.
